Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Download the Africon app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign up using your email or phone number. You can also sign up with your social media accounts.
How do I verify my account?
After signing up, you'll receive a verification code via email or SMS. Enter the code in the app to verify your account and start creating content.
What are the age requirements?
You must be at least 13 years old to use Africon. Users under 18 need parental consent.
Creating Content
How do I upload a video?
Tap the + button in the app, select "Video", then choose to record a new video or upload from your gallery. You can add effects, filters, and music before posting.
What video formats are supported?
Africon supports MP4, MOV, and AVI formats. Videos can be up to 5 minutes long and up to 500MB in size.
Can I edit my videos?
Yes! Africon has built-in editing tools including filters, text overlays, music, and effects. You can edit before posting or re-edit published content.
Competitions
How do I join a competition?
Browse available competitions in the Competitions tab, select one that interests you, and tap "Join Competition". Then create and post content related to the competition theme.
How are winners determined?
Winners are determined by a combination of votes from the community and engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares). The top creators on the leaderboard win prizes.
When do I receive my prize money?
Prize money is transferred to your Africon wallet within 7-14 business days after the competition ends. You can withdraw funds to your bank account or mobile money.
Account & Settings
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings > Account > Change Password. Enter your current password and your new password twice to confirm.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap the three dots on any post and select "Report". Our moderation team will review the report within 24 hours.
