Our community guidelines help ensure Africon remains a safe, positive, and creative space for all African creators. Please read and follow these guidelines.

Be Respectful

  • Treat all community members with respect and kindness.
  • Do not engage in harassment, bullying, or hate speech.
  • Respect different opinions and perspectives.
  • Use inclusive language that welcomes everyone.
  • Report any behavior that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Create Authentic Content

  • Share original content that reflects your creativity and talent.
  • Do not post content that infringes on others' intellectual property.
  • Give credit when using others' work with permission.
  • Avoid posting misleading, false, or deceptive content.
  • Be transparent about sponsored content or partnerships.

Keep It Safe

  • Do not post content that promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities.
  • Do not share personal information that could compromise your safety or others'.
  • Do not post explicit sexual content or nudity.
  • Do not engage in or promote illegal activities.
  • Protect minors - do not post content featuring children without proper consent.

Competition Integrity

  • Do not use bots, fake accounts, or automated systems to manipulate votes or engagement.
  • Do not engage in vote buying, trading, or other forms of manipulation.
  • Respect competition rules and deadlines.
  • Be honest about your participation and eligibility.
  • Report any suspicious activity or rule violations.

Spam and Scams

  • Do not spam other users with unsolicited messages or comments.
  • Do not post repetitive or low-quality content.
  • Do not promote scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent activities.
  • Do not impersonate other users, brands, or public figures.
  • Report spam and suspicious accounts immediately.

Reporting and Enforcement

  • Use the reporting feature to flag content or behavior that violates these guidelines.
  • We review all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action.
  • Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
  • Repeated violations or severe offenses may result in immediate account termination.
  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.

Appeals Process

  • If you believe your content was removed or account was suspended in error, you can appeal.
  • Submit an appeal through the app or by contacting support@africon.com.
  • Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days.
  • We will provide an explanation for our decision.
  • All decisions are final, but we are committed to fair and transparent moderation.
